The Getaway

Lu and I took a little getaway to Grand Cayman last week. It was a nice break from the cold and snow of Michigan. And the boys got some quality time with Grandpa and Grandma too!

The beautiful beach!

Not only seeing the beach, but having drinks on the beach!

Checking out the local wildlife

And what vacation is complete without a ride in the Karaoke Taxi! A little Starship's "We Built This City" made the ride enjoyable for us. Not sure about the driver tho ;-)

I don't think we'll make it on the next American Idol, but it was the first cab-ride I was sorry to see end.

We had a great time in the beautiful weather and certainly had our fair share of tropical drinks. Until next time.....

My monkey and banana

Well, we had to try on the Halloween costumes early just because they're so fun!! Ian is really excited to be a monkey this year and Josh is well.....less than excited that I crammed him into a banana costume that's too small. But I couldn't pass up the photo op!

Of course I couldn't get one of both boys smiling at the same time....as usual!

I'm three!!

Saturday was Ian's 3rd birthday - can you believe it??!! We had a great time at Bounce Party with our family and friends. Needless to say all the kids were worn out afterwards ;-)
A birthday breakfast of eggs and chocolate chip pancakes!

Pumpkins and Monkeys...Oh my!

Can you believe it's October 11 and we're in shorts and t-shirts??!! The great weather made it a perfect weekend to get out and enjoy some fall activities.
Saturday was a busy day for the Le family. We started the day with a visit to the pumpkin patch. This was Ian and Daddy's first time picking their own pumpkins, and they took the job very seriously!

Searching for those perfect punkins!!

Ian's pick for Joshua...literally the "baby" pumpkin. So, Joshua did end up with two, the next one slighty bigger ;-) After getting our great pumpkins we had a quick lunch at Applebees (yum...) before naptime.
In the evening we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa Le's so they could watch Joshua while Ian, Daddy and I went to the Pumpkin Path at Lamar Park. It's a free event and the kids get to load up on candy while business get some advertisement!!

Grandma, Grandpa and their monkeys!

The scary guy that, thankfully, Ian wasn't scared of :)

Hanging out on the firetruck

And another big event......Joshua is officially rolling both ways! We're in trouble...this is the first step to mobility. I have yet to get it on video, but when I do, I'll be sure to post it here!

Just because

It's been a quiet couple of weeks as we welcome in fall. To prep for the cold weather, we decided to go through our hats and mittens to see what we have.

What??!! Winter is coming??

Ian.....just being Ian ;-)

The cooler weather gave us to the opportunity to get out the Jumperoo. It's officially Joshua's favorite toy! We're in trouble, once he starts moving, I don't think he's ever going to stop. His legs move ALL the time!

Joshua enjoying his new toy

A little video of those busy little legs in action

So things have been quiet, but we're having a lot of fun with our two little guys!

To the Orchard.....for Green Apples

Well last Saturday Ian woke up wanting to go pick apples!! Specifically.....green apples. So we loaded up the family and headed to Robinette's. Well....who knew you couldn't pick your own apples there. So we let Ian eat donuts, drink cider and play for a while.

A few photo ops:

Mama and her boys!

Joshua (aka 'Baldy')

Ian on the "wee" slide!

Once we found an orchard to pick green apples, we headed to an orchard off of Fruitridge Ave. They had the works.....pony rides, a petting zoo, swings, slides and GREEN APPLES!!!

Our cowboy in training....on real horses and tire horses

Feeding the chickens

Not so sure about the donkey.....

The great green apple hunt...of course, one must taste them before you keep them ;-)

Picnic Time!

Today was the Amway Family Picnic at Fallsburg Park. It's always a great time for the kids with elephant and pony rides, games, food and much more!
Ian and I spent the day there today and had a great time!
First was the elephant ride - a 1 hour line that Ian did exceptionally well with. A short ride on Laura the elephant was just want Ian ordered ;-)

Followed by a lunch of watermelon, more watermelon and.....more watermelon!

Then it was time for the fun stuff - slides, games and swings!

And...how Ian really feels about carnival rides:

This swing thing is a little different - I'm sure it'll be fun! No way will it be scary....

Okay, first time around and all is good - this swing is cake!

Well....I'm just not so sure about it. Maybe it's time to stop?

I hate this thing - get me off of it!!!

So the swing (followed by some popcorn, of course) was the end of our day at the picnic!
